Custom Designed Glass Feature Lap Pool

Goodline Stainless worked in close partnership with Strachan Constructions to produce this stunning feature lap pool. Not only did the end result considerably enhance the appeal and aesthetics of the home, the value added was significant.

The location of the pool proved to be an extremely challenging space to work with, as it was located directly between the boundary block wall and the home. With limited space for movement and access and due to the extreme weight of the products used, the glass had to be moved by crane into location.

The pool and surrounds were engineered to ensure that all materials and workmanship were durable and strong enough to safely hold the volume of water contained within such a small space.

This particular project comprised of a variety of products and fixing methods due to the complexity and limited space available including: 20 metres of spigot mounted glass pool fencing, 15 metres of fascia mounted glass fencing, 14 metres of balustrade, 50 metres of handrail and 2 solid 42mm thick glass end caps framed in stainless steel, which were then fixed and chem-set to the boundary walls.

The end result: a stunning addition to the home and a remarkable use of space featuring an open plan feel and unhindered views.
